Dinh Quan is a mountainous district in the North of Dong Nai located along National Highway 20, about 80km from Bien Hoa city center and about 110km from Ho Chi Minh city. With just a day, you can totally discover the interesting destinations with space close to the nature in Dinh Quan.From Bien Hoa, you can ride along Highway 1 to Dau Giay intersection, turn to Highway 20 towards Dalat, then you just go straight until you encounter 3 large stones overlapping each other in the center of Dinh Quan district. People here lovingly call it Da Ba Chong (3 floors stone) and symbolizes the gate to enter Dinh Quan district.
Riding until the road full of teak located between markers of Km 54 and Km 55, you turn left to the trail, go to the end of the road and you will see a house of the people living there. You can leave your motorcycle there and ask for directions to the mouth of Doi (Bat) Cave.
The entrance to the cave has many porous laterites in black, according to many scientists, the cave was formed millions of years ago from volcanic lava erupting and flowing down. In the cave, there are many bats flying into to shelter, so the cave is called Doi (Bat) Cave. Remember to bring a flashlight to have enough light to capture images with beautiful colors in the cave.
If you are interested in exploring the volcano, you can go back several kilometers, or ask people the way to "volcano118 ", they will show you. You may have a bit of difficulty to climb to the mouth of the volcano, it is easy to slip because there are many small stones; however, if you ask the right way, you will find the trail where is easier to climb. This volcano was formed millions of years ago, but it does not erupt any more. The caldera is in basin shape, surrounding area is grown with mainly cashew. Not far away is the road to Ba Zot waterfall. Each line of water is as abreast flowing from the top, the sound of water flowing is roaring. It is a very peaceful space, you just enjoy the feeling of cool and relax sipping coffee and watching each water line flowing down.
Riding deeper to the end of the road that you can encounter Mai waterfall, the rare ancient overshadow trees, a large space where you can camp. In the waterfall, there are many rocks of all shapes surrounded by small streams of water flowing through. You can walk on these rocks and sit on them to fish to feel the serenity of Mai Waterfall.
On the way back, you can take pictures of the sunset on La Nga Bridge or La Nga victory monument.
